At ReadRush, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. By using ReadRush, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.

1. Introduction

ReadRush is a language-learning platform operated from Ankara, Türkiye. We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide our reading, quiz, and progress-tracking features, keep your account secure, and meet our legal obligations. This Policy applies to all users of the ReadRush app and website.

2. Personal Data We Collect

To provide and improve the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and login credentials when you create or sign in to your account.
• Progress Data: Reading streaks, quiz scores, completed topics, selected languages, and reading-speed preferences.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and crash or error logs.
• Subscription Data: Premium subscription status and purchase history, as provided by the App Store or Google Play.
• Optional Data: Messages you send us through support requests, surveys, or feedback forms.
• Third-Party Login Data: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we only receive your basic profile data (name, email, profile picture) as permitted by their respective privacy policies.

ReadRush does not access your device's real-time GPS location. No location tracking is performed.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes, on the legal bases indicated:

• Account creation and management — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• Delivering reading content, quizzes, and progress tracking — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• Processing subscriptions and purchases — necessary to perform our contract with you and to comply with legal obligations.
• Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection — our legitimate interest and legal obligation.
• Improving app performance and user experience — our legitimate interest.
• Customer support — necessary to perform our contract with you and our legitimate interest.
• Optional communications and updates — based on your consent, where required.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. To operate ReadRush, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party service providers, each of which processes data only to the extent the service requires:

• Firebase Authentication: For secure login and account management.
• Firebase Firestore: To store user preferences and progress data.
• Firebase Analytics: To analyze usage data and improve user experience.
• RevenueCat: For subscription and in-app purchase management.
• SendGrid or Mailgun: For optional email communications (if you subscribe to updates).

These providers are engaged as data processors and may not use your personal data for their own commercial purposes. They comply with international data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA.

5. Data Sharing

Your personal data may only be shared in the following circumstances:

• With the technical service providers listed in Section 4, only to the extent their service requires;
• When required to comply with a legal obligation or a lawful request from a competent public authority;
• Where you have given your explicit consent.

6. Data Storage and Security

All collected information is stored securely using Google Firebase and Firestore cloud infrastructure. We apply encryption, authentication, and restricted data access to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Sensitive user data (such as passwords) is always encrypted and never stored in plain text. While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

7. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at readrushinfo@gmail.com. Once a deletion request is confirmed, your data is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain (such as billing records), which are kept only for the legally mandated period and deleted afterward.

8. Children's Privacy

ReadRush is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has shared data with us can contact us directly for deletion.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing or marketing emails.
• Object to certain processing based on our legitimate interest.

Notice on the Processing of Personal Data under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data

This notice is prepared to inform users, in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), about the processing of personal data by ReadRush acting as data controller.

Data Controller

Categories of Personal Data and Purposes of Processing

Under Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, the following categories of personal data are processed for the purposes indicated:

• Identity data (name, surname): account creation and user identification.
• Contact data (email): account management, notifications, and support.
• Progress and usage data: providing reading, quiz, and tracking features.
• Financial data (subscription, purchase history): processing purchases and legal obligations.
• Technical data (device, app usage): security, error detection, and performance improvement.

Legal Grounds for Processing

• KVKK Art. 5/2(c): processing necessary for the performance of a contract with you;
• KVKK Art. 5/2(ç): processing necessary for compliance with our legal obligations;
• KVKK Art. 5/2(f): processing necessary for our legitimate interests, provided this does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms;
• KVKK Art. 5/1: your explicit consent, where required for a specific processing activity.

Recipients of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred only to the technical infrastructure providers listed in Section 4, to competent public authorities where legally required, and to third parties for whom you have given explicit consent. Your personal data is not sold or transferred to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

Retention Period

Your personal data is retained for as long as the purpose of processing requires, or for the period mandated by applicable law. Following an account deletion request, data outside these retention periods is deleted or anonymized as described in Section 7.

Your Rights Under KVKK Article 11

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

• Learn whether your personal data is being processed;
• Request information about the processing, if any;
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly;
• Know the third parties to whom your data is transferred, domestically or abroad;
• Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
• Request deletion or destruction of your data under the conditions set out in Article 7;
• Request that any correction or deletion be notified to third parties to whom your data has been transferred;
• Object to a result that is to your detriment, arising from analysis of your data exclusively through automated systems;
• Request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing of your data.

How to Apply

You may exercise your rights under the KVKK by submitting a written request, together with information verifying your identity, to readrushinfo@gmail.com. Requests are concluded within 30 days at the latest. If your request is rejected, the response is found insufficient, or no response is provided within the applicable period, you retain the right to file a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu).
